Children's Ministry

Sunday School
Matthew 19:14 – “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
We are blessed with wonderful Sunday school teachers that teach our children during the school year at the 9:30 AM slot between our two Sunday services. We have classes for 3k-4k, K-2nd, 3rd-5th, Middle School, and High School. 3k-5th meets together for an opening in the Sanctuary before going with their teachers to their designated rooms. Contacting us in advance is not necessary for attending Sunday School.

Art Club
The intent of this club is to delight in creating, to grow in the process, and to engage with art – connecting art with Christ, church, community, and the world.
Students will meet in the Fellowship Hall every other Wednesday starting at 6:30 PM and may be picked up promptly at 7:30 PM. They will learn about artists from around the world and work with paint, pastels, markers, watercolors, and more! At the end of the school year, there is an art gallery viewing that runs throughout our entire church building.
Jessica Wrasman leads the ORLC Kids’ Art Club.
On nights that Art Club meets there is a Life Skills class for middle school and high school students that has a Bible devotional time as one the meeting’s components. We are looking to grow and expand this ministry.

Middle School/High School
Our middle and high school youth have planned activities for fellowship and/or service with Bible applications the last Sunday of each month after the second service.
Children’s Church Service
During our 10:45am service, Ashleigh Carney, leads a Children’s Church Service. The children attend the service with their parents and are dismissed after a Children’s Sermon that is given before the sermon. On Sundays that have communion, the children come back into the service to come forward with their families for communion.
