LWML is short for the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.
Meetings are generally held on the second Sunday each month following the late service. Membership is open to any woman who is a communicant member of any LCMS church. The Oak Road chapter of LWML works to support the local social ministries and global missions of our congregation.
God has led Oak Road to have much missionary involvement in India. We have rebuilt Baer Christian Hospital in Chirala, India, opened a Dental Clinic on the hospital grounds, and Dr. Gerald Rausch serves the poor and trains the local dentists who volunteer during these weeks. We are also supporting two schools of evangelism Capstone School of Evangelism and Tabernacle School of Evangelism.
Once or twice yearly we conduct outdoor Crusades preaching the Gospel of Jesus as the Savior of the world. In the name of Jesus so many have been healed of deafness, muteness, and even blindness, plus many demons cast out.
Oak Road currently has two locations for tabletop evangelism: Lilburn City Park and Georgia Gwinnett College. Tabletop evangelism makes use of a table and an eye-catching sign in a public space that will attract individuals to spark conversation. The signs are designed to be able to initiate Christ-centered discussions that provide an opportunity to share and the defend the Good News of Jesus Christ.
